Origins of Slipper Saver
This product/idea/invention was initially thought of by me, Scott Mullen, in 1989 while fishing on Oahu, Hawaii. On this fishing trip I was wearing a pair of rubber slippers/flip flops and when they got wet the strap broke off from the front knob. There was no repair kit or items to repair the footwear. The only thing that was available to protect my foot was a piece of cardboard and some fishing line. I constructed makeshift footwear to protect my feet which made it possible to walk over jagged lava rocks back to my vehicle.
It was then I realized the need for a simple, easy-to-use repair kit for slippers/flip flops. After finding nothing available in the local stores, I began to design the Slipper Savers.
Slipper Saver, LLC, the company formed to market and sell Slipper Savers, is able to fulfill orders small and large.
